Microwave passive component development for satellite telecommunication and data trasmission applications

Abstract

COM DEV International Products (Canada) is partnering with Orbital Engenharia Ltda (Brazil) in this exciting collaboration to develop microwave, passive components for satellite telecommunication and data transmission, intended to benefit the commercial space applications market. The proposed components to be developed are a Coaxial Power Splitter. COM DEV will develop the engineering design and the assigned proof of concept models, while Orbital Engenharia will predominate in the process development and the qualification of the manufacturing, assembling and test processes. All of the initial engineering design efforts and the proof of concept engineering models will be held in Canada at COM DEV Cambridge, with participation of Brazilian specialists from Orbital Engenharia to work in the manufacturing and assembly design. The first proof of concept models fabrication and testing will be done in Canada. (AU)
