Abstract

Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (FLC) is a rare variant of HCC that typically occurs in young adults. The knowledge of the factors that influence the success of treatment of the disease may change the way it is addressed. Objectives: Evaluate the factors influencing the survival of patients with CFL. Methods: This is a cross-sectional retrospective study of 20 medical records from patients seen at the Gastrocenter- HC- Unicamp, diagnosed between 1980 and 2014. Variables such as age, sex, race, possible risk factors and concomitant diseases will be measured. In addition to laboratorial exams, CTP and MELD classifications, images from abdomen and chest CT and bone scintigraphy, the surgical specimens, tumor stage, type of procedure, hemoconcentrated volume received in transfusion, blood loss, and cause and year of death of the receiver will be taken into account. Data analysis: The following analysis will be extracted: demographic, categorical frequency, description from continuous data and Kaplan-Meier actuarial survival (p> 0.05 was considered as statistically significant). Expected results: They should be similar to those found in the literature.
