Abstract

This incoming project intends to discuss a predictive model for early diagnosis of sarcopenia, by means of allometric determination of muscle strength by body mass, in elderly of both sexes. The studies advance during cooperation in research as Visiting Professor abroad Junior, for improvement of the model will happen under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jorge Mota, who has recognized international leadership in this area. The strengthening of the research network, international visibility and scientific production between laboratories is evident. The intentions expressed are not exhausted, therefore, will be circumstantial to the very progress of studies. Thus, the idea is to outline in this proposal possible indicators of progress in the theme "Aging" during the Visiting Professor period. (AU)
