This is a virtual electronic library, composed of scientific journals from Brazil, Latin America and other countries, aimed at increasing their visibility, accessibility, quality, use and impact. SciELO modality has its institutional infrastructure established at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) by means of UNIFESP Support Foundation (FAPUNIFESP). The SciELO program is maintained by FAPESP and has the support of CNPq - National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. The projects supported by FAPESP are developed under the responsibility of a Principal Investigator, associated with higher education or research institutions in the state of São Paulo. The selection is done through a peer-reviewing system.
