Dr. Fabiana da Cunha Saddi is a Visiting Professor at the University of Brasilia (PPGDSCI/ CEAM/ UnB) in Brazil. She was awarded a British Academy Newton Advanced Fellowship, together with S. Peckham, to develop the research project How to strengthen leadership and the workforce through the re-design and implementation of a pay for performance program (PMAQ) in PHC in Brazil. A comparative health policy and system analysis, in six Brazilian cities. Previously as postdoctoral researcher at UFG (Sep13-May18), she developed successful independent research on the politics of the Brazilian primary health care, and its payment for performance (PMAQ) and "More Doctors" programmes. Her two former investigations on Brazilian p4p and PHC resulted on publications and discussions that have been impacting her field in Brazil and internationally. Trained in UK universities on systematic and qualitative reviews, and on qualitative and mixed methods. Interested in political and policy process (formulation and implementation) analyses of public, social and health policies. She also holds a Postdoc from Oxford University/UK, a PhD in Sociology, MA in Political Science and BA (with Honours) in Economics, all three from the University of Sao Paulo (USP). She guest-edited issues on peer-reviewed journals and published on recognized journals such as The Lancet, The BJGP, Journal of Ambulatory Care Management. In addition to regularly reviewing papers for journals and taking part in scientific committees of international conferences, she is currently the Guest Editor of two other specialist journals: Policy Society and International of Public Sector Management. She held PhD visiting positions at Colegio de Mexico and Univ. of Cambridge; and visiting research positions at Univ of Oxford and Univ of Kent. Awarded as PI (Dec 2014) in the call Grants for health programs implementation from PAHO/WHO Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR), received a small grant as PI from SHAPES health Systems Global (2017), and awarded the British Academy Newton Advanced Fellowship (2018). Collaborates with Oxford Analytica and is a volunteer lecturer (external) in Public Policy at the MA in Political Science at UFG in Brazil. She is recognized as a leader in her field and has been invited to speak at both national and international scientific meetings. (Fonte: Currículo Lattes)
