Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1996), Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1999), PhD in Food Engineering from University of Campinas (2004) and postdoctoral fellow at the same institution (2004-2005). PhD is a professor of the Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering at the University of São Paulo (USP), Department of Food Engineering since October 2005. Has experience in the area of Food Engineering, with emphasis on separation processes, acting on the following topics: liquid-liquid extraction, solid-liquid extraction, technology of vegetable oils and animal fats, liquid-liquid deacidification of vegetable oils , deterpenation of essential oils, solubility of nutraceuticals compounds, and thermodynamic modeling.
