Abstract

The postdoctoral researcher (PD) will work on the topic of synthesis, optimization and reverese technical-economic analysis integrated to the simulation of the biorefinery biodiesel-bioethanol 1G-2G. The PD will develop and update models using the EMSO platform. It should then simulate cases of biorefinery in relation to subprocesses of production of high value products. Emphasis will be on the process of production of oil and carotenoids by the unconventional yeast Rhodotorula toruloides grown in hemicellulosic sugarcane bagasse hydrolysate and related reverse technical- economical analysis. Communication between the PD and the various research subgroups working on different subprojects of the Thematic Project will be part of his/her activities, since information provided by the researchers in the laboratories of the subgroups and by the simulation group should be a continuous and bidirectional flow.
